- 2 teaspoonpure vanilla extract
- 2 cupssemi-sweet chocolate chips

Gently whisk in the 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder into the hot milk until fully combined.
- 3
In a 4-quart (or larger) slow cooker, combine the sweetened condensed milk, remaining 5 cups whole milk, heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- 4
Stir in the cocoa and milk mixture you made first.
- 5
Cover and cook on low for about 2 hours, whisking often as it begins to warm up to ensure the chocolate chips melt evenly and are fully incorporated.
- 6
It is ready when all the chocolate chips have melted and the mixture is warm throughout.
- 7
Ladle into mugs and top with mini marshmallows or whipped cream and a mini candy cane.
